This concise 115-page guide is designed for teachers using the As-Salaamu ‘Alaykum textbook series (9 textbooks). It reflects nearly fifteen years of the authors’ experience in teaching Arabic to non-native speakers.

We aimed to make this guide as brief as possible, while still keeping it practical and comprehensive. Instead of repeating lesson-by-lesson details that recur throughout the series, the book highlights the most important teaching principles and focuses on what teachers truly need in the classroom.

Special attention is given to the major differences among the three stages of the series—Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced—so that teachers can better understand learners’ needs at each level. The guide offers teaching skills, methods, and classroom techniques that help teachers present the material effectively, create a supportive learning environment, and enable students to develop their Arabic skills with confidence and use them communicatively.

At the end of each chapter, teachers will also find common challenges they may face in the classroom, along with practical suggestions and workable solutions.
